Tailored Tartan Dress by Pepperberry →
LOVE this. Wonder how the sizing comes up. Pepperberry have been very inconsistent lately, which for a company that makes clothing for big boobed ladies is ridiculous.

The multiple injustices of Manuel Valle's death... →
Manuel Valle has been unlucky enough to unite in one case a great number of the failures of the US capital system. Subjected to repeated miscarriages of justice resulting in multiple retrials, then held under the Damoclean sword of the death penalty for an unimaginable 33 years, he was finally picked earlier this year, in an apparently arbitrary manner, by Florida’s governor, Rick...

Troy Davis execution: other controversial death... →
So Troy Davis was executed last night after a torturous wait (I don’t use that word lightly; I think it must have been psychological torture for him, and incredibly distressing for his family). But this is hardly the first case of execution that has raised serious questions about the validity of the sentence. (Click the link to read an article from The Telegraph.)

Speaking of well-beloved books, this evening I went with my dear darkspree to see the new Jane Eyre. I was pleasantly surprised. ( Reader, I married him ) …
Troy Davis execution set to go ahead as judge... →
This case actually makes me feel physically sick.
This is wickedness, pure and simple. I’m not saying the man is innocent (although it seems like he is); it’s enough that there is a strong chance that his conviction is unsound. When the ultimate penalty is death, how can any justice system allow it to be exacted in a case like this?

Oxford Brookes Ladies - m4w →
I am really getting bored with Oxford University women, they just don’t know how to have fun and they don’t even care about their looks. So, are there any Oxford Brookes ladies who want to go out, have a few drinks and have some fun afterwards?
I hope this guy isn’t one of my students…

Frightened Rabbit: Print!
chrismakesstuff:
So, somebody bought the Frightened Rabbit poster and thought to send me images of how it turned out - and it turned out great!
Here’s the images now:
I’m very, very pleased with this print quality. I’m actually considering moving the whole shop over to RedBubble, because for one, the quality is great - and secondly it’s a much quicker turnaround.
So, if you’re...

MAC makes men pretty.
And women too, but we knew that already.
So MAC did a casting call for their MAC Me Over campaign. They chose five women and one guy. The best thing about it is that they don’t say ANYTHING about Ian being a man. They just make him up in a way that it really quite dashing. Because why should a guy wearing makeup be something to make a big deal about? Awesome. Of all the looks, though, I...
